Easy Deal - Windows Apps Development

Are you looking to deal with windows application development? It’s really now your cup of tea to develop a windows applications. The process of creating a basic application as a learning experience is ridiculously easy, especially for someone who knows how to use visual studio. Simply select new project on the file menu and select 'Smart Device' in the project type. Click smart device project on the right templates pane, and choose 'Device Application' in the pop-up Smart Device Project window.

Whatever functionality is required can be added into the form in design view by dragging and dropping buttons and adding event handlers. Once it's done, just press F5 to test it on the chosen emulator or device. That's about all there is to it. Developers who need additional help or support can find it online in Micorosft's MSDN (developer network). There is a virtual lab, video demos and webcasts, code samples, and blogs where developers can interact and clear their doubts.

Of course, this is just a very basic how-to for Windows mobile app development. The useful apps that can be bought in the marketplace are much more complex and need a lot more talent and experience to develop.

Impact of Technology

Think of the days when there were no computers and no modern means of transport. Human life was highly restricted due to the unavailability of technological applications. Now we have the world is at our fingertips.

Think of the days when there were no online messengers, no emails and no cell phones. Indeed cellular technology made it possible for us to communicate over wireless media. Web communication facilities have worked wonders in speeding long-distance communication. On the other hand, they have deprived mankind of the warmth of personal contact. Emails replaced handwritten letters and communication lost its personal touch. With the means of communication so easily accessible, that magic in waiting to reach someone and the excitement that followed have vanished.

Moreover, we have become excessively dependent on technology. Is so much of dependency good? Is it right to rely on machines to such an extent? Is it right to depend on computers rather than relying on human intellect? Computer technology and robotics are trying to substitute for human intellect. With the fast advancing technology, we have started harnessing artificial intelligence in many fields. Where is the digital divide going to take us? How is our 'tomorrow' going to be?

The impact of technology on society is deep. It is both positive and negative. Technology has largely influenced every aspect of living. With the developments in technology, we may be able to enjoy all the pricey luxuries in life but at the cost of losing its priceless joys.

Understanding Native Android Application

Understanding a native code and the NDK
Android uses the Dalvik virtual machine to run apps. It interacts with device-agnostic, cross platform commands into instructions. An application code is written in Java or other language that is translated into Java. Machine specific details are not handled by the code; instead, the Dalvik virtual machine manages various details such as the processor, graphics, memory, etc.

In most of the cases, the speed and memory overhead is a valuable exchange. In some cases, developers need greatest performance. In both conditions, the Native Development Kit lets developers embed C and C++ components in the app. It allows developers bringing most performance-intensive pieces close to the hardware. But, using this technology makes the entire process a little complicated.

When should Android developers use native code?
Using a particular technology, such as programming language and tools for Android application development mostly depends on the skills of developers. But developer's familiarity with C or C++ cannot be merely a reason to use the NDK. Unless, development team is proficient to handle this technology, they should not use it.

Many times, using native code technology can be beneficial. This method is useful in processing data or computing physics and graphics for games. Other good reasons include access to existing native libraries and high-level code.

Understand Mobile Web Development

Mobile web development is an important concept that can be influential in the success of your online business. You required a responsive theme for this. A responsive theme uses a combination of a fluid layout and media queries to make the layout and content different on different-sized devices. It doesn't just work for mobile web development; responsive themes can change the look of a site on tablets or on really large screens, too.

Responsive design - Important Concepts
To get to grips with a responsive design, you'll need to understand the following web development concepts:
Fluid layout: This is a site layout that uses percentages for widths instead of pixels. The effect of this is that when the browser window changes width, so does the site.

Media queries: We use media queries to add extra changes to the CSS for devices of a particular width. The widths most commonly targeted are:

Mobile devices such as smart phones: These are 320px wide and 480px high, which means the width of the screen, will change when the device is turned around. It is imperative to note this before you get started with mobile web development.

Tablet devices: These vary in size but the screen on the iPad, which is by far the most commonly used, is 768px wide by 1024px high. Other tablets such as the Kindle Fire will be smaller.

Desktop computers: Their width ranges from 1024px and above. It's common to set a maximum width for our layout so that on very large screens (for example, over 1200px), the site doesn't lay out so far that it makes the content difficult to read.

Landing Page and Call to Action

Landing Page is very important for your website because this is the page which will give you the maximum output if designed and targeted in a proper manner. If we are suppose to think about any landing page there are many parameters which need to be satisfied to create a successful landing page. One of them is Call to Action. This is the statement or copy that instructs your visitor to take a specific action. Often it will be the button on a form, or a large graphical button that takes your new customer through to a final destination somewhere on your main website. It’s critical that the CTA is very obvious and is written in a way that describes what clicking on it will actually do.

Poorly written CTA’s are the standard CLICK HERE or SUBMIT. A good example would be “Get your $50 spa coupon” which clearly articulates what you will be receiving in exchange for your precious click.

On particularly good technique for visualizing landing page design potential is to create a paper prototype. Do a quick sketch of the various elements on a piece of paper, cut them out and move them around on a new piece of paper. Try to lay it out so that they tell a fluid story with a strong focus on the Call to Action.

Online Reputation Required

Online Reputation Management (ORM) is a process of managing the perception of the targeted audience for a business, website or an entity on the web, on social networking sites, social media, and search engine result page. In a wider perspective, it relates to search engine optimization and utilizes organic SEO techniques. However, the primary aim is to promote positive content rather than negative reviews, pushing down the negative content in the SERP, thus, enhancing the reputation of a website, brand or corporate entity online.

The reputation of your business is its most valuable asset. Reputation is not built overnight - it takes many years to build. In the days before the internet, most people would evaluate a business from its longevity, advertising and physical appearance. Most would shop locally from a perspective of convenience, but recommendations from friends would play a significant factor. Of course prior to the internet people would find businesses from printed directories, such as the Yellow Pages.

Reasons for Online Reputation Management
One of the things you need to know is that there are various competitors in the market who do not engage in fair practices and may therefore resort to tainting your name or reputation. Some create very realistic accusations that may end up causing a lot of damage to your business or Company. In such a case, you need expert help in dealing with such allegations. If you ignore those allegations, you may end up losing a lot of money and potential clients. A reputation management expert is able to allay all fears that may have been aroused in the minds of your clients or potential clients and by so doing you will salvage an otherwise detrimental situation.

The second reason to know is that Online Reputation Marketing is key to good sales. Before anyone buys goods or services from any place, he or she will first of all try and find out whether the business has a good reputation or not. Companies that do not have exceptional reputation normally end up being shunned by a majority of people and this is why you must invest in expert services with this regard. There are several things that an expert can do in order to help your Company have a good appeal to those who wish to use services of products.

Windows 8 And Business

The new Windows 8 operating system has received little of the hype usually associated with the introduction of a major new product from Microsoft. Launched over three months ago, the usual publicity stunts and saturation type television advertising seem missing from what is basically a relatively quiet coming out party.

Many industry experts surmised that the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas would be the optimum launching point for the new operating system. Yet, despite the fact that many hardware companies had installed the system on their display PCs and tablets, reports from the show about the effectiveness of "8" as a business tool have been mixed.

A test of Windows 8 by this writer generated more doubts than an endorsement. It raises the question of not only when a business should convert to the new OS but if they should do so at all. Why? Unlike past versions of Windows, The User Interface (UI) is in a tiled format. This takes some getting used to such as the "Start" page. It also seems to works best in a touch-screen implementation.

Most businesses do not use touch-screen applications across the enterprise. To take advantage of the new system companies would have to not only purchase the software for the end-user but also budget for new hardware. This can involve investing in dozens of new machines depending upon the size of the business.
Windows 8 does offer new compatible apps to helps users optimize their experience. Unfortunately these apps are only available through the Windows Store, something most users will have to get used to. Microsoft hopes to keep adding apps to the store to make it viable for all of its equipment and platforms.

Overall, Windows 8 is a valiant attempt by Microsoft to change the OS environment. It is a push by the firm to encourage more purchasers of their branded phones and Surface tablets. Unfortunately for the tech giant experience has indicated that organizations typically take their time to migrate the newest version of windows. Several are still on Windows XP.

For now, the new UI and lack of a start button will keep many corporations from implementing the system in their day-to-day business operations. Those that do will need a great leap of Microsoft faith as they leap onto the Windows 8 bandwagon.

Benefits of iOS Applications

iOS Apps are everyone's friend. To illustrate exactly how they can help you, we have come up with the following benefits that iOS apps can bring to your business:

Companies can benefit from iOS apps by enabling them to give their employees relevant data and information at anytime they need them, anywhere they may be. There are "business intelligence" apps that not only provide sales statistics to sales representatives, but also generate reports on the spot so that they will no longer need to rush to their office computers to do so.

Perhaps the most popular use that the public thinks about iOS apps is that they help to reach customers by providing enhanced versions or extensions of existing services. There are also those that are unique to apps. Medical or doctor's consultation apps, for example, provide ready answers to common medical questions such as giving emergency or temporary remedies, disease symptoms and various treatments available. Events ticketing companies make their customers' lives easier by enabling them to book seats via their apps (seats can be viewed and selected through their interactive seating maps). If the customers have questions, they can send a message to the help desk right then and there without having to leave the app.

Many games are also available now on most iOS devices, particularly the iPad, making it a stiff competitor in the game console wars. Speaking of games, there are those information-rich, visually exhaustive and highly interactive educational games that serve as study aides for students.

Yet another kind of iOS apps helps service-oriented businesses serve their own customers. Some medical professionals, for instance, reach for their iPads or iPhones to find information from their apps to help them treat their patients better. Some apps give out crucial data, such as drug dosage and concentration, for many kinds of diseases.

Some sales representatives use certain iPad apps, such as product catalog apps, to show visual aids when they make their pitch to their customers. Others compile important sales and customer information to make for excellent CRM tools.

These are just a few examples of the endless ways a company like yours can serve your customers through apps. By having your own business app (properly conceptualized and created at that), you multiply your opportunities for success.

Applications Or Web Pages - Smart Phones

Cellular phone web sites are particularly developed for use on small to medium sized electronic digital items. These specific kinds of internet websites are created along with computer programming computer code which makes all of them practical and much more effective to be utilized with cellphone modern technology. Individuals with smartphones and computer tablets can go to these web sites and also get info, to make friends and even to do business. Smart phone web pages are not designed to become the same as an ordinary webpage and they're more simple when it comes to structure. They permit the person to access the most important facts or even attributes on a web page instead of offering them complete entry to all the data and technological innovation on the distinct web page.

Apps really are software programs that are used on smartphone. Applications permit end users to play different kinds of game, obtain important information, make friends online, play any kind of music as well as to complete certain capabilities. Applications are really a shorter name for application plus an application is yet another title for software program. Because cellular devices do not have any Compact disc ROM drives the only method that owners can download programs on to their own gizmos is by using applications. Cell phones take advantage of app based technological innovation simply because they have specifically designed for this purpose.

A mobile internet site plus an app both have advantages and disadvantages. Cellular phone web pages permit people to obtain information about the www without having to download and install it onto their own devices. Mobile phone internet websites are normally much easier to use compared to apps given that they usually do not have to understand how this website operates, as opposed to an app. A smartphone webpage can also be much easier to utilize each time a particular person wishes to buy something online and never have to download a program. An application isn't as useful as a smartphone web page with regard to web surfing or conducting business which is precisely why some specific businesses and also establishments prefer their particular utilization over applications.

Types of Programming Error

Logic Error
This is perhaps the most serious of all errors. When a written program in any language compiles and runs properly only to provide incorrect output, the flaw lies in the underlying programming logic. It's an error which has been inherited from a flaw in the base algorithm. The very logic on which the entire program is based is flawed, in such a case. These types of errors need a fundamental change in your approach to find a solution. You need to start digging at the algorithmic level to narrow down to the cause of such an error.

Syntax Error
Every computer language like C, Java, Perl and Python has a specific syntax in which code needs to be written. When a programmer doesn't adhere to the 'grammar' specifications of a computer language, a syntax error results. These kinds of errors are easily rectified during the compilation phase.

Compilation Error
Compilation is the process where a program written in a high level language is converted to machine readable form. Many types of errors can occur during this phase, including syntax errors. Sometimes, the syntax of a source code might be flawless, but a compilation error might still occur. This may be due to a problem in the compiler itself. These errors are rectifiable in the development phase.

Run Time Error
The program code has compiled successfully and an executable file has been created. You breathe a sigh of relief and run the program to test its working to find an error. This is a 'Run Time Error'. These may result from the failure on part of the developer to anticipate actual program deployment conditions. These can be rectified by going back to the coding phase.

Arithmetic Error
Many programs use numerical variables and the algorithm may involve several mathematical calculations. Arithmetic errors crop up when the computer cannot handle problems like 'Division By Zero' leading to an infinite result. This is again a logical error which can only be corrected by changing the algorithm.

Resource Errors
When the value of a variable overflows its maximum allowed value, a resource error may result. Buffer overflow, usage of an uninitialized variable, access violations and stack overflows are examples of some common errors.

Interfacing Error
These may arise due to mismatch of a software program with the hardware interface or application programming interface used. In case of web applications, an interface error may result from incorrect use of a web protocol.

Swing King Game App

You must thinking that why I am writing about this game application. This is not an ordinary game; this is a physics based game just like the famous “Angry Birds”. So people will find it logical and interesting for sure. This strange physics game features a bouncy king who is on a mission to take out the bad boss who has a striking resemblance of Slash from Guns and Roses, hmm, maybe.

The story is simple. The king of the land is busy in his personal affair, when all of a sudden a demonic monster steals every star from the sky. Unimpressed, the king chases after him, while the thief scatters the stars all over the place. With the stage set, your job is to work through each land and gather as many stars as possible.

What set this apart from the rest of the physics puzzlers are the king’s bendy and sticky arms. Thanks to these, and once you've lined up his trajectory and sent him flying, he can grab on to certain objects where he'll hang safely. If you don't finish this move, landing the king at either the flying unicorn that marks the end of the level or another grappling object, then you'll fall off the screen and have to restart.

Things quickly get more complicated. As well as navigating the large levels, you'll have to contend with wandering critters that'll kill the king with one touch, spiky platforms that cause a similar fate, moveable grappling objects, and a cornucopia of upgrades.

One early upgrade is the boxing glove, and you'll need to grab this in order to punch through some of the solid walls that would otherwise block your progress. Then there's a sticky green orb that, once collected, you can place anywhere on the screen to create a new swinging hook. Like most physics puzzlers, the real joy comes from working out how all of the stars and power-ups come together so you can max out at a level.

There are more than 90 of these levels to work through in total, each separated into stages. If you're wondering what the point of collecting all of these stars is, once you've grabbed a certain number of them from each set of levels, you'll be able to go toe-to-toe against the boss.  These boss fights take the form of several small-screen puzzle areas that are brisk but fun. The objective is to fling the king around the screen so he can pick up the boxing glove power-up and then deliver a mighty punch to the laser-firing eye of the enemy. This is never too much of a challenge, but it is a fun way to spice up the action and get you focused back on the story.

Web Conferencing

So you always have to lead a conference and that too web one. To host or participate in a successful web conference, follow the list of good web etiquette given below.

Exclusivity
If it's a web seminar, do not host it for too many people at one go. You should rather hold multiple sessions of the same seminar. This gives the listeners enough time for giving a satisfactory feedback and for asking questions. The lesser the people in a conference, the more attention they eventually pay.

Time Management
A very important habit you need to develop is setting a time limit to each part in a conference and sticking to it. Learn to eliminate anything that may delay the start or end of the conference, and be prompt. This is a very crucial point as you'd be wasting the time of everyone present at the conference, which is a big thing especially since you're already pressed for enough time to hold a web conference.

Preparation
Keep all your material at stand-by so that you can show it or talk about it whenever you want to. If you're not used to hosting a web session, you can practice it before you go live and record it. You need to be smooth in operating all the tools during the session.

Memorability
Keep your speech in the meeting or seminar, a speech that can be remembered. It should have a sizable impact on the listeners for them to remember whatever you said or showed. That makes it easier for them to attend the next session.

Good Technology
I'm referring to the better web conference hosting software that you can get your hands on. Some of them are paid, some are free -

  • Microsoft Office Online
  • Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro
  • Dimdim
  • GoToMeeting
  • MegaMeeting
  • MyMeeting123
  • Cisco WebEx

These are the best conferencing software, take your pick and get to know them better.

Izik Search Application

Izik leverages Blekko's powerful and innovative proprietary search engine to filter results into categories related to your query. Izik offers a fresh new touch-friendly search experience to accommodate shorter queries and drive a superior user experience. It is the search engine for the tablet generation! It's a new web search app from the makers of Blekko, a web search engine for people who are looking for a change from Google. This web search app is targeted to iPad and Android tablets. This application will give you the relevant search results. Enter a search term and Izik quickly pulls in results under various headings, building up a larger page which you can navigate through using in-page navigation buttons that appear at the bottom.

These will vary depending on what you’re searching for. Enter “iPad” as your search term, and Apple will appear as one of the options. Search for “Disneyland” and the categories change to things like “Amusement Parks”, “Travel” and “Hotels”. Makes sense, and is presumably based on the Blekko’s larger aggregated search database working behind the scenes to sort things for you as you go along. These sections work similarly to the website’s “slashtags”, automatic search-narrowing tools that you can type along with your query.

Tablets are increasingly getting integrated into our lives, so they wracked their noggins to figure out how they could use their search technology to optimally serve tablet users. Not surprisingly, their research revealed that tablets take on a very different role in people lives than laptops and desktops. Laptops are for work; tablets are for fun. Laptops are task-oriented while tablets are more exploratory.

Swype Texting

The technology of Swype has been invented for about 7-8 years now, but has been implemented recently in hand-held cell phone devices and similar applications. Swype is a brand new technology introduced by Swype Inc., that runs on the idea of swiping characters (text) on the keyboard instead of specifically pressing individual letters on the keyboard. You can refer Swype to the technology of predictive texting in your cell phones, which catches the word pre-hand before you finish typing the entire word. Likewise, the key advantage of using Swype is, it expends an error-correcting algorithm plus an enhanced language model in order to predict the user's intended word. In this case, a user has to be absolutely random and rapid while tracing a path on the keyboard and within a fraction of a second the text entry would be done!

Swype is designed to give a data input of 50 word per minute (wpm), with such an easy technology, this method so far happens to be the fastest way of enabling the user to enter the text in his/her application device. These days this technology is preloaded on many cell phones like Droid X, iPhone, iPad, HTC and so on. It is also comfortably compatible with devices like tablets, cell phones, kiosks, game consoles, virtual screens and televisions and perhaps much more.

Benefits of Using Swype

  • Shows efficient text input on any touchscreen device.
  • Quicker, faster and easier input text.
  • Rapid capability of data input appeals high carriers.
  • The faster the input of data, the more the utility of applications and portable devices.
  • Customers and users are extremely contended with this state-of-the-art technology.

The greatest catch about Swype is the speed at which the text can be entered in. It is 30% faster when compared to other texting software programs. In short it is an application which is faster and smoother in creating an input text on any sort of screen, particularly a touchscreen device wherein, applying this technology very much looks rational.
